Sundowner Cruises offers a relaxing social atmosphere for connecting with new friends and sharing experiences.

Sundowner is a fully covered, purpose built catamaran designed for socialising – a floating bar. Unlike a yacht, we have a flat surface and no trip hazards. There is ample room to move, and high heels are welcome.

A glass of sparkling or soft drink is included in your sunset cruise ticket price, and the bar is open throughout the cruise for you to purchase further drinks. Cash or card welcome. Sorry, no BYO.

Sundowner departs from Coral Sea Marina, North Village, which is only a short walk from the main street of Airlie Beach. Coral Sea Marina is a vibrant award winning marina which includes the Garden Bar & Bistro with uninterrupted views across the marina and Sorrento’s Restaurant & Bar located alongside the boardwalk in the North Village.

We circumnavigate Pioneer Bay and as we have very little draft we are able are able to get up close and personal to the many points of interest along the Airlie Beach coastline, and enjoy a bit of turtle spotting in Turtle Bay. After the sun sets, enjoy the lights of Airlie Beach at night, while we slowly make our way back to port.

Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday islands provide the perfect backdrop for our sunset cruises. Sundowner is also available in the afternoon for private charters for birthdays, corporate groups, weddings, hens and bucks parties, or any celebration.

5.00pm – 7.15pm 1 January – 28 February

4.15pm – 6.30pm 1 April – 31 October
4.45pm – 7.00pm 1 November – 31 December

Sunset Cruise prices:

$69.00 per adult (aged 15+) and includes a glass of sparkling for the adults and nibbles.
$59.00 per child (age 3 to 14) and includes a glass of soft drink/juice.
Children 2 and under travel free, but MUST hold an infants ticket as they must be on our manifest and count towards our total passenger limit.

Our nibbles consist of a simple platter of crackers, vege sticks, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, kabana, and dip, which are shared with all guests. Pringles are available to purchase on board.

Some items contain dairy or gluten. You are welcome to bring your own small nibbles along if you wish. We do recommend bringing something for kids to keep them happy during the 2 hour cruise.

We recommend you make a reservation for dinner after the cruise. We arrive back to port promptly at the advertised seasonal finish time.
